WELCOME to Basic CONNECT! This is the How-to-connect Lobby. Once you have what you need, you can join the group without the gas or get an individual assist by appointment without getting dressed. Basic CONNECT brings your computer skills upgrade to your desktop or laptop, in a scheduled web conference.

Groups of up to 15 will learn or upgrade computer skills - do the Digital Literacy thing - together! There are advantages to teamwork you can experience from wherever your computer resides - at home, at work, even at the beach.

Demo of is linked here. Adobe Acrobat Connect is our tool of choice for web conferencing that will connect you to Coach and the rest of the team. Presentations will be tailored to group interests or projects.

Basic CONNECT Meeting Room

CALENDAR: Basic CONNECT webconferences are usually on Wednesdays at 10AM and 4:00PM ET. Printable calendars available as dates are confirmed will be posted:

INVITATION to Basic CONNECT containing the URL link for the webconference and details will arrive via eMail to confirm your participation.

ARRIVAL should be ten (10) minutes before the scheduled event sp tjat upi cam be admitted to the meeting room with other participants by the Coach.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Basic CONNECT requires:

1. an email request from you to join scheduled webconferences, first come . . . first served
2. internet connection that is high speed - DSL or cable
3. the latest version of Adobe FLASH Player
4. the latest version of Adobe READER
5. your optional webcam for sharing
6. link to the Webconference URL that arrived in Reply to your email request
7. your agreement to abide by Terms of the meeting room

ENTER the Basic CONNECT webconference meeting room, using the URL link provided (10) minutes before the scheduled Basic CONNECT webconference time to be admitted by Coach.

- OPTION: A private email address from Coach at our host, NetworkSolutions.com will provide quick communication on discussions and projects, saving you the time it takes to sort through the INBOX of your regular mailbox at AOL, Yahoo, or other popular places. This email address will operate during class or project help with your password, not ours, for as long as instruction continues.
