This option is for groups of up to 14 who have joined for a coach-led webconference on topics of interest with the work-from-your-own desktop or laptop advantage.

Microsoft UNLIMITED POTENTIAL with eight certificates to acknowledge your basic skills with Windows XP is a workforce development effort in Genesee County. May 10 and July 26 2010 scheduls are coming. Email your interest
Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and open Lab on Friday at 9:30 AM. Certificates are granted for sucessful completion of eight weeks that include fundamentals for the computer, media, Internet, webdesign, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
INTRODUCING COMPUTER BASICS (copyright pending) begins with what they all have in common before a fork-in-the-road to move through the features of Windows XP Professional and Mac OSX Leopard. Presentation choices are:
#1- PDF TO READ with Acrobat Reader allows for: Zoom to change text size along with individual pages for work at your own pace; thumbnails of pages; hyperlinks make it easy to find the pages you need.
#2- Quicktime MOVIE features audio instruction. Quicktime player, a free download, allows for user start and volume adjustment. The movie can be halted at will for reading pages. The movie may be good for learners who prefer audio
