The precise definition of "computer literacy" can vary from group to group. Prior to the development of the first computers in the 1950s, the word computer referred to a person who could count, calculate, compute. Computer literacy expands the definition of the word computer to include the equipment we must become comfortable using. Individual learning styles can help with achieving the needed comfort.
